Dispongo únicamente de seis ejemplares a la venta de esta referencia discográfica publicada en 2017 por el sello Brilliant Classics. Se trata del estuche que completa la serie Minimal Piano Collection producida y grabada enteramente por el pianista Jeroen van Veen. Los ocho CD incluidos en él presentan obras pertenecientes al minimalismo musical norteamericano, particularmente al originario. En los cuatro primeros discos van Veen nos ofrece la interpretación íntegra de la dilatadísima 'November', pieza estelar de la colección compuesta por Dennis Johnson (1938-2018) en 1959. En los cuatro restantes encontramos música de los compositores Philip Glass (1937), Tom Johnson (1939), Peter Garland (1952), Terry Riley (1935), Harold Budd (1936-2020) y La Monte Young (1935).

 

La grabación del álbum tuvo lugar en junio de 2015, y julio y agosto de 2016. El propio pianista holandés es autor del texto A new journey into Minimalism incluido en el libreto que acompaña a los ocho discos.
